Another burglar quits.

With any luck the fellow will be released without charge.

Indeed, Stars.

But there may be a problem/s if it is found that the scumbag was stabbed as he/she was on the way out. Or chased, then stabbed.

They (scumbags) have human rights.

The homeowner Vincent Cooke has been released on bail.

If someone breaks into your home, what are you supposed to do? Just sit there passively. Deserved everything he got. Sorry if that is a bit strong for a Monday morning.

30 lashes followed by a bucket of salt water thrown over his back, and a heavy fine should make him think twice.

I find it encouraging that these cases have recently become prominent. Sends out two messages.

1. Burgling can be hazzardous to health.

2. Householders do have the right to defend themselves.

Sadly this may lead to the scumbags going in harder, or picking on the more vulnerable (more than they would normally).
